The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pizziconi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fochi swivels and escapes.
Fochi scores with a nice right hand.
Pizziconi shoots in for a double leg but Fochi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fochi cracks Pizziconi with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Pizziconi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fochi pinned against the cage. Fochi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Osmany Pizziconi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pizziconi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Omoh looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ingo Szopa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Szopa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Omoh pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Szopa taps out and this one is all over!

Horton throws out a leg kick but Diggs moves out of range and Horton only half commits.
Diggs has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Horton tries to close the distance and clinch but Diggs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

After the fight, Willie Diggs was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Tim Horton was interviewed post fight and said 'I walk out of this cage a new man, a hungrier one. I realize the mistakes I had very good moments in the fight. I’ll be back, and fighting for the belt again. FOR CANADA🇨🇦 #THEGREATWHITENORTH'.
