Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Torhte Finlayson (ranked 15 p4p, 180 weight class) and Khalil Burnett (ranked 4 p4p, 15 weight class). Finlayson comes to the cage accompanied by Scotland the Brave, Black Bear. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Khalil Burnett!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burnett takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Finlayson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Finlayson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Burnett throws a hook to the side of Finlayson's head but Finlayson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Burnett avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Burnett uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Finlayson.
Burnett looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and Finlayson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Finlayson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burnett circles away quickly and effectively.

Burnett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Finlayson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Burnett's hands.

Burnett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Finlayson manages to avoid it.
Finlayson cracks Burnett with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Burnett looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Finlayson finish him?
Burnett is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Finlayson digs a good body shot into Burnett's ribs.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
