Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Li Gong (ranked 86 p4p, 515 weight class) and Breno Belmiro (ranked 12 p4p, 57 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Li Gong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Breno Belmiro!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belmiro fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gong manages to avoid it.
Belmiro comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gong walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gong gets caught flat footed, as Belmiro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Gong is pulling down on Belmiro's head to control his posture.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Belmiro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Belmiro accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Belmiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gong keeps working.
Gong avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Belmiro.
Belmiro is looking to pass Gong's guard but actually Gong recovers to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Belmiro throws an elbow that misses. Gong uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Belmiro's guard. Nice move by Gong!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belmiro has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gong is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Belmiro.
Belmiro tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Gong looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Gong takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Belmiro dives in and grabs Gong's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gong pushes down on Belmiro's head and hops out.
Belmiro lands a nice looking body shot.
Gong takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Belmiro lunges at Gong with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gong's hand.
Belmiro takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Belmiro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little feinted left hand from Gong on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Gong pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Belmiro works the jab nicely.

Belmiro cracks a nice hook into Gong's ribs.
A looping hook to the body misses from Belmiro. Gong does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gong forces Belmiro back against the cage and clinches.
Belmiro has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gong regains guard immediately.
Gong wants to sweep but no luck.
Belmiro stays in close to Gong's body and controls the position.
Belmiro throws a strike but Gong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Belmiro has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Gong has passed into side control.
Belmiro is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Belmiro has a hand on Gong's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Gong takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gong doesn't have the hooks in and Belmiro manages to turn into his guard.

Let's hope that Belmiro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gong pushes down on Belmiro's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Belmiro is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Belmiro wants to control but Gong is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Belmiro wants to improve his position but Gong is controlling well.
Belmiro pushes Gong off looking to stand but Gong dives back in and keeps control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Breno Belmiro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Gong's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Belmiro throws a hook but Gong blocks it.
Gong throws a quick counter kick to the body but Belmiro avoids it.
Breno Belmiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Belmiro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gong's guard.
Gong is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Belmiro wants to control from the top but Gong keeps moving.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gong.
Gong goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Belmiro swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Gong's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gong duly obliges.
Gong blocks a jab.
Gong throws the kick towards the body but Belmiro avoids it.
Belmiro misses with a right hand
and Belmiro takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Belmiro feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I would just about give that final round to Breno Belmiro.
