Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Hardy (ranked 144 p4p, 334 weight class) and Javier Martinez (ranked 29 p4p, 52 weight class). Javier Martinez has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Hardy! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 60 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Javier Martinez! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez throws a jab when Hardy was well out of range. Hardy half committed to a counter leg kick. Hardy has his takedown stuffed and Martinez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hardy moves into the clinch successfully.

Martinez just trying to survive but Hardy is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Hardy controls the position. Hardy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Martinez can do to turn this around? Hardy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Martinez for as long as he can get away with. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hardy is hanging on to Martinez's back as he tries to escape.

Martinez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Martinez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hardy keeps working. Martinez wants to take a breather but Hardy manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Martinez.
Martinez drops back looking for a leg! Hardy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hardy manages to kick Martinez off! Martinez jumps back into Hardy's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martinez distracts Hardy with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Martinez throwing strikes but missing. Hardy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hardy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Martinez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Oliver Hardy. I think Hardy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
