Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Hobbs (ranked 2130 p4p, 2808 weight class) and Muntun Potentat (ranked 251 p4p, 304 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyler Hobbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Muntun Potentat!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potentat misses with a lunging right hand
letting Hobbs counter with a right hand.
Hobbs ducks under a wild hook from Potentat.
A jab from Potentat finds it's way through Hobbs's defenses.
Potentat throws a lazy right hand but Hobbs sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Potentat throws a right hand that Hobbs ducks under and follows up with a left that Hobbs also avoids with ease.
Hobbs appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Potentat throws a series of punches but Hobbs moves out of range.
Hobbs is looking to counter punch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hobbs blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Hobbs jumps into guard, dragging Potentat to the mat.

Potentat is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hobbs is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Potentat tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Potentat has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Potentat tries to move to mount but Hobbs blocks the move with his legs.
Potentat is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hobbs knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hobbs manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Potentat wants to free his trapped foot but Hobbs is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Hobbs is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Potentat pulls his head out easily.
Potentat seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hobbs does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Hobbs has hold of Potentat's hands but Potentat slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Potentat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hobbs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hobbs is on top in guard.

Potentat lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Potentat might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Potentat tries to close the distance and clinch but Hobbs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Potentat's coach down at Gym To Nica was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Potentat's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hobbs closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Potentat to the mat! Potentat manages to get full guard.

Potentat manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hobbs manages to get himself to full guard.
Hobbs bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Potentat's guard.
Potentat wants to sweep here but Hobbs controlling him for the moment.
Potentat has his foot on Hobbs's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hobbs works his way back into a safe position though.

Hobbs arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Potentat's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tyler Hobbs!
A relieved looking Tyler Hobbs thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
