Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kongthoranee Sitsongrit (ranked 29 p4p, 589 weight class) and Johnny Albatross (ranked 5 p4p, 68 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 49 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Albatross!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sitsongrit with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Sitsongrit misses the jab.
Albatross has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Albatross sends Sitsongrit crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Albatross is motioning to the referee to let Sitsongrit up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Sitsongrit is rocked!
It looks like Kongthoranee Sitsongrit has been cut.
Albatross cracks Sitsongrit on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Sitsongrit falls backwards against the cage. Albatross follows up with more strikes that drop Sitsongrit to his knees. Albatross keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Sitsongrit! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Albatross!
Johnny Albatross is the new lightweight champion!
A relieved looking Johnny Albatross thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
