Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Haisam Moghadam (ranked 398 p4p, 219 weight class) and Vinicius Honorio (ranked 58 p4p, 28 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Honorio's choice of entrance music: Through the Darkness by Vinicius Honorio. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moghadam on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Moghadam keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
It looked like Moghadam was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Honorio.

Honorio comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Moghadam was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Honorio has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Moghadam. Honorio does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moghadam knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Honorio on the ground.
