Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Flo Holl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, New Breed One!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

One shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Holl napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Holl is trying to get back to half guard.
Holl struggling a bit here.
One in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Holl gets back to half guard.
One throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Holl is trying to get back to full guard.
One wants to pass to mount but Holl is defending the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Holl is looking for a sweep. One is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

One is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Holl sees it coming and defends easily.

One seems to be working for a kimura but Holl defends the submission attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holl is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
One is fighting to break Holl's control of his arms but Holl is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
One tries to free his leg and advance position but Holl is retaining full guard.

One has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Holl thows a body kick. One tries to catch it but that hurt him.

One closes the distance and pushes Holl back into the cage.

One tightens his grip and picks Holl up, before dumping him to the ground. Holl manages to land in guard.

One in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Holl is looking to stand up but One isn't so interested in that idea.
One cracks Holl with a solid left hand.

One thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
One is looking to work some ground and pound but Holl has wrist control.
One loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
One working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
One is fighting to break Holl's control of his arms but Holl is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
One slips nicely into half guard.
Holl desperately trying to maintain half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

New Breed One dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

One will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Horrible takedown attempt by One or perhaps it was just good defense by Holl, which made it look bad.
One shoots in but Holl avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Flo Holl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New Breed One.
Holl misses with a low kick as One jumps back.
Holl does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
One blocks the body kick.
Holl throws a hook but One blocks it.
A lazy left from Holl finds it's target.
Holl throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
New Breed One seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Holl displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from One.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holl tries to close the distance and clinch up but One swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fighters circling - Holl throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from One! But no joy.
Holl misses with a straight right.

One looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Holl wants to improve his position but One is controlling well.

One perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Holl preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

One is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Holl is just riding it out for now. One eventually gives up the hold.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Holl wants to sweep here but One controlling him for the moment.

Holl tries to bum rush One with a series of wild strikes but One uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

One closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Holl quickly recovers to half guard.
One not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

One is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

One seems to be working for a kimura but Holl defends the submission attempt.

One seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Holl does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close second round but I would say that Flo Holl will probably get the nod.

Flo Holl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New Breed One.

and Holl counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
One avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
One fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

One closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holl lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of One backwards.

One is trying to trip Holl. He has hold of a leg but Holl is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. One persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Holl wants to sweep here but One controlling him for the moment.
One trying to control the position from guard on top but Holl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

One won't allow Holl to get back to his feet.

One has gone for a leg lock! Holl slips out almost immediately though and dives into One's guard.


One had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Holl defends it easily.
Holl not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Holl has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
One wants to sweep but no luck.
Holl wants to pass the guard but One is keeping the position.

One has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Holl can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

One looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Holl passes into side control.
Holl wants to stand but One is controlling his arm.
One wants to control but Holl postures up.
New Breed One has got the better of the ground game so far.

One is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
One keeps trying to improve his position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
One tries to bench press Holl off him but Holl keeps the position.
One manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
One is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Holl!
One prevents Holl from getting the reversal.
Holl tries to hold on but One pushes him away.
Holl regains half guard.

One is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Holl still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Holl has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Holl in side control, just content to control the action for now.
One sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Holl with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Holl's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

One wants to control but Holl is keeping busy.
