And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chozen Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Thomas .
Gracie throws a jab when Thomas was well out of range.
Gracie moves out of range of the body kick.
A big left from Gracie misses.
Thomas throws a wild body kick that Gracie sees coming a mile off.
Gracie feints the counter takedown.
Thomas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Gracie throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Thomas missing with a left hand there. Gracie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gracie misses with an uppercut. Thomas saw that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thomas .
Gracie is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Thomas .
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gracie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A swing and a miss from Gracie.

Thomas fires out a quick counter leg kick but Gracie just manages to avoid it.

Thomas moves out of range as Gracie strikes.
Thomas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Thomas throws a jab when Gracie was well out of range.
Thomas paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Chozen Gracie has been cut.
Thomas fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Gracie to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Gracie looks to clinch but Thomas throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Gracie taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
