And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ed Green!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finlayson defending well as Green loads up on a big left hand.
Finlayson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Fist of Fury Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Green throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Finlayson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Finlayson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Green.
Green staying out of range there.
Finlayson cracks a nice hook into Green's ribs.
Green falls off balance throwing a combination

and Finlayson counters with a crisp right hand that drops Green! Finlayson lets Green back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Green takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Finlayson throws a body punch but Green moves out of range.

Finlayson cracks Green with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Green looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Finlayson finish him?

We've been informed that Green has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Finlayson throws out a loose jab but Green uses good head movement to avoid it.
Green throws a counter combo.

Green seems to have recovered his senses.
Finlayson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Green has time to react.

Finlayson cracks Green with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Finlayson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Green to stand back up!

and Finlayson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Finlayson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Green fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Finlayson connects with a body shot.
Finlayson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Green.
Nice straight punches there by Finlayson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Finlayson.
Green throws a poor cross that misses
and Finlayson counters with a left to the body.
Green looks winded!
Finlayson misses with a wild body shot.
Green tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Finlayson circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Green tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Finlayson wins by KO!
