Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deividas Vilkas (ranked 1813 p4p, 2843 weight class) and Patrick Kearney (ranked 226 p4p, 327 weight class). Vilkas comes into the arena with Fortunate Son blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vilkas misses with an uppercut
and Kearney counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kearney throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kearney misses the shot to the body.
Kearney has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Vilkas.
Vilkas scores with a leg kick.
Kearney looks to clinch
and Vilkas counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kearney takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kearney on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vilkas. Vilkas obviously looking to wear him down.
Kearney drops Vilkas with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Vilkas looks back up at him and smiles so Kearney waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Deividas Vilkas has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kearney blocks a jab.
Kearney moves forwards but Vilkas connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Vilkas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vilkas misses with a wild combination.
Kearney checks a leg kick.
Vilkas connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Vilkas drives through and clinches with Kearney against the cage.
Kearney swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Vilkas tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kearney.

Kearney tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Kearney breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vilkas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kearney, pushing him back against the cage.

Vilkas swings wildly with an uppercut but Kearney uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kearney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vilkas looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Vilkas throws a lazy right hand but Kearney sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vilkas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kearney.
Kearney uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vilkas.
Vilkas throws a combination that misses
and Kearney counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vilkas with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kearney lands a big uppercut and Vilkas crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Vilkas looks OK. Kearney waves Vilkas back to his feet!
Vilkas is rocked!
Kearney is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Vilkas throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Oh Vilkas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kearney throws a right hand that Vilkas ducks under and follows up with a left that Vilkas also avoids with ease.
Vilkas appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Kearney's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vilkas connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kearney scrambles back to his feet.
Vilkas seems to have got his legs back now.
You can see that Kearney has visibly slowed down as a result of the leg kicks

Kearney shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kearney throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vilkas jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Kearney throws a monster overhand right that drops Vilkas! Kearney follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Kearney!
Patrick Kearney seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
