PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arjan Bhullar (ranked 334 p4p, 173 weight class) and Muhammad Jabbar (ranked 41 p4p, 24 weight class). Bhullar comes to the cage accompanied by Daniel Cormier - All About That Cake. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arjan Bhullar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Muhammad Jabbar!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabbar throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Bhullar counters with a nice uppercut.

Bhullar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jabbar felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Bhullar tries to advance to mount but Jabbar denies him.
Bhullar is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

We've been hearing that Bhullar has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bhullar connects with a nice short shot to Jabbar's temple.

Jabbar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bhullar moves away.
Jabbar throws a front kick aimed at Bhullar's knee but Bhullar avoids it well.
Bhullar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jabbar can do to turn this around?

Bhullar arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Jabbar's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

A less than humble Arjan Bhullar misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
