It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zavian Barkley seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Barkley takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Chase connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Barkley momentarily.

A lazy left from Chase finds it's target.
Chase throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Barkley moves out of range of the strikes.
Chase misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chase lands with a slapping head kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barkley throws a jab but it's blocked by Chase.
Danny Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Danny Chase has been cut.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Barkley crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Chase - the referee stops the clock and Barkley gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Chase. Barkley manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Manfred scores with a takedown into Murphy's guard.
Murphy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Manfred postures up in Murphy's guard and throws a big left but Murphy blocks it.
Manfred has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Manfred throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Manfred controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Manfred working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Murphy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Manfred is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manfred wants to control from the top but Murphy keeps moving.
Manfred stays in close to Murphy's body and controls the position.

Manfred stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murphy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Klaus Manfred seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murphy lands with a good body shot.
Some bone on bone action there as Manfred checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Manfred feints the counter takedown.
Manfred looks to land a combination but Murphy avoids it well.
No luck for Manfred with that takedown attempt.
Murphy wants to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Manfred takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
It looks like Klaus Manfred has been cut.
Manfred feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Murphys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Manfred waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Murphy.
Manfred throws a body punch but Murphy moves out of range.
Murphy wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Murphy loads up on a big right hand but Manfred slips the punch.

Murphy drops Manfred with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Manfred looks back up at him and smiles so Murphy waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Manfred throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Murphy's waist but Murphy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manfred off to one side.
Murphy tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Manfred manages to circle out of the way.
Manfred has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Kaven Murphy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Manfred throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Murphy bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Murphy lands with an overhand left.
Manfred is rocked!
Manfred is holding his hands too far apart here. Murphy throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Manfred is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

In his post fight interview, Kaven Murphy started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Kersikov throws a body kick that misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Kilgore misses the target.
Kersikov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kilgore.
Kilgore on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A telegraphed right hand from Kersikov misses the target.
Kersikov misses with a lunging right hand
and Kilgore counters with a head kick.

Kilgore cracks Kersikov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kilgore has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kersikov to stand back up!
It looks like Vladymyr Kersikov has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kilgore seems to be stalking Kersikov here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Kersikov drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jeremy Kilgore!
Jeremy Kilgore retains his light heavyweight title!
