 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kogos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Averyanov. A swing and a miss from Averyanov. Kogos is looking to counter punch. Averyanov lands a head shot.
It looks like Paulo Kogos has been cut.
Kogos rushes Averyanov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Averyanov managing to block the knees to the body from Kogos.

With a record of 27 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Pinkman! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fuguego tries to land a front kick but Pinkman steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Pinkman throws a body punch but Fuguego moves out of range. Pinkman swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Fuguego to counter with a crisp jab. Fuguego throws a leg kick but Pinkman checks it. Pinkman throws out a counter right but Fuguego avoids it with no problem. Fuguego defending well as Pinkman loads up on a big left hand. Fuguego misses with a shot to the body and Pinkman counters with a stiff right hand. Pinkman's coach down at Black Eagle MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pinkman's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Pinkman scores with a hook to the body. Fuguego takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Fuguego fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Fuguego scores with a jab. A left lands for Pinkman. Pinkman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
It looked like Fuguego wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Fuguego ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Fuguego misses with a leg kick

Fuguego takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Pinkman has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Pinkman thuds his right hand into Fuguego's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Fuguego throws a lazy uppercut

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Takeda Shida. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shida, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
