Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Zane Yardow!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yardow fails to land with a series of punches.
The crowd cheers as Soap lands an impressive looking overhand right. Yardow doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Zane Yardow has been cut.
Yardow bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A nice side step and Yardow releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
A solid body kick from Soap.
Yardow missing with a left hand there. Soap was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Soap looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Soap fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yardow has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Soap doesn't manage to clinch there - Yardow circles away.
Yardow lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Yardow scores with a jab to the head.
Simon Soap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Soap buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Soap blocks a jab.
Soap feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Yardow with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Soap to score with a decent uppercut.

Yardow takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Yardow counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Soap looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Yardow swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A jab from Yardow does it's job there.

and Soap cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Soap scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Soap lands with a hook. Yardow tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Yardow takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Yardow misses with a looping left.
Soap thows a body kick. Yardow tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Soap throws a big shot that misses.
A little jabbing left from Yardow on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

and Yardow counters with a crisp one two that drops Soap! Yardow thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Soap to his feet! Soap is in big trouble!
Soap is rocked!
Soap moves out of range of the strikes.
Oh Soap is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Yardow slips a jab from Soap.
Soap seems to have got his legs back now.
Soap waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Yardow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Yardow gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Yardow on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Yardow slips under a jab.
Yardow is looking for the big counter here.
Soap takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Soap moves to clinch but Yardow breaks away
and Yardow counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Soap thinking.
Soap throws a head kick that misses
and Yardow counters with a big right hand! Oh Soap is in trouble here! Yardow follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zane Yardow!
