With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kel Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jonas Engel! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryan getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Engel takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Engel shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Engel has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Some wild striking there from Ryan.
Ryan scores with a sloppy right hand. Engel should have avoided that one. Ryan lands a head shot.
Engel is rocked! Ryan throws a pinpoint strike between Engel's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Engel crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Ryan scores a great knockout victory!

Tampolla really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tampolla avoids a punch combination nicely.

Martinez throws a right and a left that Tampolla avoids nicely. Martinez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Martinez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Martinez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! A low kick from Tampolla is predictable there and Martinez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Martinez misses with a wild combination.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bender lands a nice looking body shot.

Bender throws a leg kick and Anderson counters with a nice body shot. Bender ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Anderson moves away. Bender fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Anderson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Anderson avoids the body shot from Bender.

With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Byron Trevino! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trevino works over Maunders's head and body with a nice combination. Maunders takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Trevino darts in and clinches Maunders up against the cage. Maunders drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Trevino gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Trevino tries to pull guard but Maunders forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Maunders is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maunders has clasped his hands together around Trevino's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Trevino managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Maunders.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee asks Maunders politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Maunders prefers to stall for the moment though.

Maunders is looking to take a break and control but Trevino is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Trevino is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Maunders has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Trevino is letting Maunders control him for a moment. Maunders lands a decent elbow from side control. Trevino trying to remain calm as Maunders controls from the top position. Maunders has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Maunders wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Trevino, who protects the arm well.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Trevino defending against the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trevino can do anything to dispel that myth. Maunders tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Trevino wants to control but Maunders postures up. Maunders misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Sloppy strikes there by Maunders. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Trevino is not content to let Maunders control the position.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Trevino is defended easily by Maunders. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Trevino is squirming around, avoiding Maunders's attempts to control the action. Trevino wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Ben Maunders overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Trevino takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. A jab from Yoo finds it's way through Mcdonald's defenses. Yoo clobbers Mcdonald with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Mcdonald moves out of range of the strikes. And Mcdonald tries to counter it with a takedown but Yoo pushes his down on his head and steps out.
