 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Good exchange - Reaper coming out on top.

Larsen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Belmiro. That did some damage! Larsen avoids the body shot from Belmiro.

Well Belmiro has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belmond jabs at Rapheal's body. Rapheal on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Belmond throws a body punch but Rapheal moves out of range. Rapheal swings widly with a right hand
and Belmond cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rapheal on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Belmond lands a body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Belmond throws a quick inside leg kick. Belmond thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rapheal if he has to take too many more of those.
Belmond has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Animal Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.

Rapheal is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Belmond's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Belmond's back! Rapheal is trying to stick to Belmond's back but Belmond is turning into Rapheal. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rapheal's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Belmond. Belmond stays in close to Rapheal's body and controls the position. Rapheal tries to land a sweep but no joy. Belmond content to stall in guard here. Belmond pushes down on Rapheal's leg and manages to get into half guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Rapheal avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Belmond. Belmond wants to control but Rapheal is keeping him busy. Belmond works his foot free and advances to mount. Rapheal keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Rapheal is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Belmond with shots to the head and body - Rapheal looks very uncomfortable down there. BOOM! Belmond connects with a massive shot to the dome!

This has been an exciting period of action! Cango throws a right hand that Anderson ducks under and follows up with a left that Anderson also avoids with ease. Anderson is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Oh Anderson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Anderson throws a jab when Cango was well out of range. Anderson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Cango connects with a body shot that sends Anderson's belly button to the back. BAM! Uhp lands a jab to Dienekes's midsection. Doric Dienekes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Uhp misses with a wild body shot. Dienekes feinted with a counter takedown.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Al Dariush with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Al Dariush says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Al Dariush felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Al Dariush checks a low kick from Dodgers. Dodgers swings and misses with a shot to the body and Al Dariush counters with a stiff right hand. Dodgers avoids a kick to the body.

enabling Dodgers to counter with a crisp jab. An inside leg kick lands from Al Dariush. Al Dariush moves away from the strike by Dodgers. Al Dariush tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dodgers counters with a straight right hand. Al Dariush lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Al Dariush tries to clinch but Dodgers moves out of range. Al Dariush moves out of range as Dodgers throws a body kick.
Dodgers walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Dodgers has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Al Dariush finds it's way round the side to connect with Dodgers's head. Al Dariush dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dodgers. That did some damage! Dodgers misses with an uppercut
and Al Dariush counters with an outside leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Al Dariush fails in his attempt to clinch. Dodgers is looking to counter punch. Al Dariush throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dodgers on the side of the head. Al Dariush wants to clinch up but Dodgers keeps it at a distance.
And that's the end of the fight! Edgars Al Dariush comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Al Dariush has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 63 p4p, 37 weight class) and Mabuz Bacia (ranked 13 p4p, 7 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Drago might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Drago Theme. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Drago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mabuz Bacia! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drago fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Drago takes one on the button.
Drago gets a clinch. Drago is trying to maintain a safe position but Bacia gets an underhook and turns Drago into the cage. Bacia is trying to force a seperation but Drago has the dominant position. A head punch on the inside from Bacia fails to land. Drago is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Bacia is trying to break the clinch but Drago has him pressed against the cage. Drago looking to throw knees to the head but Bacia is blocking nicely.

I was talking to Drago's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Bacia can't find room to land a body shot as Drago controls the action.
Bacia looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bacia is trying to break the clinch but Drago has him pressed against the cage. Drago trying to land knees to the body.
Bacia blocks an uppercut.
Bacia wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Bacia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Drago walks straight into a right hand from Bacia - that's dropped him! Bacia jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Drago from any more punishment! Drago complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mabuz Bacia! Our winner, Mabuz Bacia, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. Ivan Drago was interviewed post fight and said 'If I die....I die'.
