Siddik moves forwards but Meredith connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Meredith has been working on his boxing with his coaches at London MMA Club in the buildup to the fight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Murakami enables Henderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Murakami manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Robbie Hall spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jackson Silva!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but Young manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Young as he jumps to the side.
A big left from Young misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Horrible takedown attempt by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Young, which made it look bad.
Ryder Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Silva.
Young paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Jackson Silva has been cut.

and Young counters with a nice right hand that sends Silva toppling to the canvas! Silva scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Young finish him?!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Young defends it well.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Young trying to hold on to Silva's head to control him but Silva postures up.
Young manages to get to full guard.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Young is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Young wants to stand but Silva is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Young is retaining full guard.
Young definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Young is pulling down on Silva's head. It's preventing any offense from Silva, at least for the moment.
Silva passes Young's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Young wants to control but Silva is keeping busy.
Still in half guard, Silva seems content to control.
Silva moves nicely into side control.
Silva looking to control but instead Young has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Young holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Silva looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Young is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Silva is looking to advance position but Young won't allow it.
Young wants to sweep but Silva has passed to side control!
Silva looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Young prevents Silva from improving position.
Silva wants to control but Young is keeping him busy.
Young gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Silva trying to pass the guard but Young defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Young does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Silva is pressing down on Young's thigh, looking to free his foot. Young is holding on for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Silva is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Young pushes Silva off looking to stand but Silva dives back in and keeps control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Young keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Silva shoots in and drives through. Young sprawls well.
Young is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Silva.
The crowd cheers as Young lands an impressive looking overhand right. Silva doesn't seem phased though.
Young throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Young jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nice jab there from Young.
Ryder Young is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Silva ducks under a wild hook from Young.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.

Young has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Silva has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Young swivels and escapes.
It looked like Young wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Young drops Silva with a beautiful combination! Silva stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Young is looking for the KO!
Silva uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Young.
Young pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Young feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Silva sprawling to the canvas! Silva rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Young finish him?!
Silva is rocked!
That has opened up Jackson Silva's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Young cracks Silva's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Silva slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Young can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryder Young!
