The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helix is looking to clinch but Takumi is avoiding it.
Helix slips under a jab from Takumi.
Takumi takes one to the side of the head.
Takumi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Helix tries to counter by clinching up but Takumi breaks away and moves out of range.
Helix connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Helix has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Takumi finds it's way round the side to connect with Helix's head.
Nice body kick there by Helix.
Takumi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Helix can pounce on him.
Takumi scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Helix doesn't seem bothered though.
Takumi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Helix.

I was talking to Helix's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Takumi finds Helix's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Helix flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Takumi lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Helix will be OK.

Marcus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
