That was a close second round but I would say that Noel Diaz will probably get the nod.

Hoca got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hoca has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

After the fight, Noel Diaz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finlayson lands a nice shot to the body.
Finlayson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Veainu.
Finlayson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Fist of Fury Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Finlayson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Veainu.
It seemed like Veainu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Finlayson throws a combination that misses

and Veainu counters with a nice right hand that sends Finlayson toppling to the canvas! Finlayson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Veainu finish him?!
It looks like Torhte Finlayson has been cut.

Finlayson dips to his left and cracks Veainu with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Veainu scores with a counter punch that sends Finlayson to the canvas! Veainu smells blood - he's punishing Finlayson with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Finlayson has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
