Pierce is looking to get back to his feet here but Core is keeping cool and he's managed to take Pierce's back.
Core tries to keep control of the position but Pierce is staying busy.

Core is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Pierce with him. Pierce is trying to defend but Core has an arm under the chin now! Pierce grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Sampson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Barnes scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Sampson misses with a takedown attempt
and Barnes counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Barnes fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sampson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Barnes feints and then cracks Sampson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sampson down.

Sampson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Barnes is fending him off so far but Sampson persists. Nope, Barnes circles away and we're back to standing.
Barnes is looking for a counter combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sampson tries for a takedown but Barnes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Steve Barnes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Sampson.

Barnes slips a jab and a cross from Sampson.
Sampson seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters circle, before Barnes throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Sampson's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Barnes lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Imanari has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Park uses from the top position.
Imanari seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Imanari is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Park rolls with it to try and escape but Imanari cranks on the arm and Park is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Broderick lands with a hook. Piiice tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Piiice needs to keep his hands up - Broderick had a free shot at his head there.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Broderick enables Piiice to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Broderick manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Broderick is looking to stand up but Piiice isn't so interested in that idea.
Piiice throws a big right hand that misses.

Piiice drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Broderick dives on top into guard.

Piiice has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Piiice seems keen to control Broderick 's posture.
Piiice has a closed guard, preventing Broderick from standing up.

and Broderick cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Broderick slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Broderick jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Piiice tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Broderick manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice uppercut there from Broderick .
Broderick moves away from the strike by Piiice.
The crowd cheers as Broderick lands an impressive looking overhand right. Piiice doesn't seem phased though.
Hunter Broderick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Broderick drops Piiice with a naaaaasty hook - Piiice is in real trouble here! Broderick dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Akechi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Howardson to the ground. Akechi is now in Howardson's guard.
Akechi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Howardson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Akechi is controlling him.
