I was talking to Nagashima's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Nagashima has clasped his hands together around Wayne's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Wayne is looking to get back to his feet here but Nagashima is keeping cool and he's managed to take Wayne's back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nagashima is working for a rear naked choke. Wayne is not defending it well and Nagashima has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Wayne refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Wayne's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

After the fight, Kaoru Nagashima was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Veidt has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Pit in the buildup to the fight.
Veidt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Peace with the counter takedown but Veidt avoids it easily.
Peace shoots in for a double leg but Veidt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Peace throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Veidt's waist but Veidt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Peace off to one side.
