2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dragomir Savic! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savic staying out of range there. Hill swings for the body but Savic moves out of range.
Hill thuds a left hand into Savic's body. Savic uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hill.
Hill backing away here, and Savic unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Savic lands a nice hook to Hill's body. Hill takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Scott Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hill dives in and scores a takedown into Savic's guard. Savic looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Hill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Savic swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Savic sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hill somewhat. Hill tests Savic's chin there with a solid looking shot. Nice takedown defense from Savic. No joy for Hill on that attempt.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hill gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Savic counters with a nice uppercut. Hill ducks under a wild hook from Savic. Savic displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hill. Savic appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Hill fails with the takedown and Savic counters with a nice body shot. Hill ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Savic moves away. A countering left hand to the body from Savic misses.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Hill shoots in looking for a takedown but Savic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hill's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Savic tries to avoid it but Hill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Savic to the ground. Savic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Savic paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Hill takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Hill doesn't succeed with the takedown and Savic counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hill is breathing heavily. Hill closes this distance looking for a takedown but Savic circles away. Savic feints a counter leg kick. Savic leaves Hill with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Hill shoots for a takedown but Savic saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hill misses with an uppercut. Savic saw that one coming. Savic lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hill's sensitive parts. Donk. Hill catches Savic right on the button with a cross. Hill ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Hill is looking to wear down Savic with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. Hill closes this distance looking for a takedown but Savic circles away. Savic unleashes a big counter combination but Hill bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Hill moves out of range of the body kick from Savic.
This has been an exciting period of action! Hill fails with the takedown. Hill connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Savic's hands. Savic changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Savic looks to throw the jab but Hill is out of range. Savic throws a body shot but no joy. Savic misses the jab. Savic fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hill looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Savic pushes Hill up against the ropes in a clinch. Hill trying to land knees to the body.
Hill takes a shot to the head. Hill content to slow the pace in the clinch.
I was talking to Hill's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Savic fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hill checks it well.

Savic slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Hill misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hill throws a body punch but Savic moves out of range. Savic is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hill had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Savic avoids the body shot from Hill.
