The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sliva.
Allen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sliva wants to control but Allen is keeping him busy.

Sliva tries for a kimura but Allen is defending well.

Allen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sliva has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

As Sliva tries to get set, Allen tries to push him back and clinch up but Sliva manages to avoid the attempt.

Sliva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Allen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sliva has his opponent's back but Allen is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Sliva.
Barry Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Allen feints and then cracks Sliva's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sliva down.

Allen waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Sliva. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Sliva to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Sliva is rocked!
Allen postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Sliva covers up, he's hurt! Allen keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Allen and the ref steps in to end the fight! Allen can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Sole cracks Konstantine with a hook to the temple - Konstantine is on wobbly legs here! Sole swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Konstantine falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Sole wins by TKO!

Cooper's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lee is holding on here and Cooper must be using up a lot of energy. Lee has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Cooper gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Herbert Mullin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rodriguez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mullin takes one on the button.
Rodriguez lands a jab.
Mullin looks to land a left hand but Rodriguez moved out of range nicely.
Rodriguez feinted there with a counter leg kick.

and Rodriguez counters with a nice right hand that sends Mullin toppling to the canvas! Mullin scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Rodriguez finish him?!

Mullin is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rodriguez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Mullin is still on wobbly legs! Can Rodriguez finish him?
Mullin looks winded!
Mullin walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Mullin limp body while Rodriguez jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryan Rodriguez!

A very excited looking Ryan Rodriguez rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
