The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Brakeley. Those never looked like landing.
Brakeley pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mattews back to the cage. Brakeley follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Matt Mattews has been cut.
Brakeley throws a right and a left that Mattews avoids nicely.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Brakeley has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Brakeley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Mattews closes the distance and clinches.

Brakeley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Fedor Morozov struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!
