PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Boss (ranked 4064 p4p, 399 weight class) and Vincenzo Lambrucci (ranked 2444 p4p, 264 weight class). Vincenzo Lambrucci told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vincenzo Lambrucci!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lambrucci throws the left hand but Boss avoids the punch easily.
Lambrucci connects with a body shot.
Lambrucci misses with a wild combination.
We've been hearing reports that Boss has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Boss with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lambrucci to score with a decent uppercut.

and Boss counters with a shoot takedown. Lambrucci fights it but they end up in guard.

Boss has gone for a leg lock! Lambrucci slips out almost immediately though and dives into Boss's guard.

Lambrucci takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Boss shoots for a takedown but Lambrucci saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lambrucci stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lambrucci wants it to stay on the feet.

Lambrucci ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The crowd cheers as Lambrucci lands an impressive looking overhand right. Boss doesn't seem phased though.
No joy there for Lambrucci, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Boss thows a huge punch but Lambrucci dodges it nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lambrucci drops Boss with a beautiful combination! Boss stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lambrucci is looking for the KO!

Lambrucci creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Boss's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Boss drops to his knees and Lambrucci pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
