Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Verneri Ahma (ranked 93 p4p, 11 weight class) and Nando Vasquez (ranked 205 p4p, 27 weight class). Verneri Ahma had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasquez misses with a body kick.
Vasquez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ahma moves away.
Vasquez throws a chopping leg kick but Ahma manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Vasquez lands a front kick.
Vasquez walks into a straight right hand from Ahma.
Vasquez goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ahma tried to counter with a leg kick but Vasquez avoided it.
Vasquez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Vasquez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ahma.
Ahma fires out a quick counter leg kick but Vasquez just manages to avoid it.

Vasquez lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Vasquez fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ahma has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

No joy there for Ahma, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ahma bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Vasquez's head backwards.

Ahma misses with an uppercut. Vasquez saw that one coming.
Vasquez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ahma. That did some damage!
Vasquez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ahma.
Vasquez doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Ahma stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Vasquez.
Vasquez throws a nice outside leg kick.
Vasquez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Vasquez throws a front kick that sends Ahma stumbling back into the cage.
Vasquez is still on wobbly legs! Can Ahma finish him?
Vasquez takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Ahma closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Vasquez! Ahma dives in looking to finish! Vasquez is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
