Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valentin Skovgaard (ranked 512 p4p, 77 weight class) and AC Slater (ranked 780 p4p, 123 weight class). Skovgaard comes into the arena with Second Reality blaring out of the sound system. Slater has chosen Stop What Ya Doin as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that AC Slater was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Skovgaard lands an impressive looking overhand right. Slater doesn't seem phased though.
Slater dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Slater shoots for a takedown but Skovgaard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Slater lands a big uppercut and Skovgaard crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Skovgaard looks OK. Slater waves Skovgaard back to his feet!

Skovgaard swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Slater.
Valentin Skovgaard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slater fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Skovgaard seems to have got his legs back now.
Skovgaard lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Slater throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Skovgaard stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Slater drops Skovgaard with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Skovgaard looks back up at him and smiles so Slater waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Nice takedown defense from Skovgaard. No joy for Slater on that attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A very excited looking AC Slater rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
