Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuuto Yoshida (ranked 5812 p4p, 589 weight class) and Mousa Dembele (ranked 4002 p4p, 493 weight class). Yoshida comes to the cage accompanied by Blue Oyster Cult Godzilla . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mousa Dembele!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dembele misses with a wild combination.
Nice straight punches there by Yoshida. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Yoshida.
Yoshida scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Yoshida misses with a leg kick
and Dembele counters with a nice body shot.
Dembele lands with a nice body punch.
Dembele drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Dembele on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Dembele has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Yoshida stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dembele! But no joy.

A little jabbing left from Dembele on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Dembele scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Yoshida misses with a straight right.
Yoshida jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Yoshida's corner calls for a 1-2. Yoshida obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Yoshida tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dembele throws out a counter right but Yoshida avoids it with no problem.

Dembele misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Yoshida.
Yoshida looks to throw the jab but Dembele is out of range.

Dembele works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Yoshida lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Dembele chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Yoshida can pounce on him.

A telegraphed right hand from Dembele misses the target.
Yoshida pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It seemed like Dembele was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Dembele counters with a crisp right that sends Yoshida to the canvas! Dembele follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

After the fight, Mousa Dembele was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
