Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jari Bull (ranked 1311 p4p, 201 weight class) and Andy Bangsit (ranked 1910 p4p, 290 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jari Bull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Andy Bangsit!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bangsit tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bull sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bangsit somewhat.
Bull half committed to a counter leg kick.

Bangsit shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bangsit is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bull has managed to free his arm - good work.

Bull keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Bull is trying to maintain the position but Bangsit is very close to passing his half guard.
Bull looks like he's trying to stand up.

Bangsit trying to work for an americana but Bull has managed to regain full guard.
Bull is looking to stand up but Bangsit isn't so interested in that idea.
Bull has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Bangsit working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Bangsit drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bull looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bull looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bull!

Bull wants to stand but Bangsit is controlling his arm.

Bangsit is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Bangsit manages to get back to half guard.
Bangsit is trying to get back to full guard.
Bangsit is still trying to improve position.
Bangsit trying to hold on to Bull's head to control him but Bull postures up.
Bangsit is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Bangsit isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bull stacks Bangsit on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bull!
Bull tries to advance to mount but Bangsit denies him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jari Bull will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Bangsit misses with a takedown attempt
and Bull cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bull scores with a jab. Bangsit acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
A low kick from Bull is predictable there

and Bangsit counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bull!

Bangsit goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bull rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bangsit's guard! Nice work there by Bull!

Bangsit wants to sweep here but Bull controlling him for the moment.
Bull postures up.
Bangsit can't keep his opponent in guard - Bull advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Bangsit had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bull defends it easily.

Bangsit pushes a forearm under Bull's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bull is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
