Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vicente Lafayette (ranked 102 p4p, 19 weight class) and Karl Denke (ranked 206 p4p, 34 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Karl Denke was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lafayette misses with a lunging right hand
and Denke counters with a right hand to the body.

Lafayette tries to bum rush Denke with a series of wild strikes but Denke uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

It looked like Lafayette was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Denke.

That was a close round but I would say that Vicente Lafayette will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lafayette, as that shot connected.
Lafayette is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Denke.
Lafayette fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Denke manages to avoid it.
Denke is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Lafayette with a body shot.
Vicente Lafayette is winning the standup battle so far.
Lafayette misses with a straight right.
Lafayette takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Denke thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lafayette dodges the punch combination from Denke.
A quick step to the side and Lafayette tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Denke's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lafayette connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Denke scrambles back to his feet.

Lafayette is stalking Denke. Denke circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Lafayette, and it's lights out! Denke really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
