Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Paddington (ranked 2233 p4p, 223 weight class) and Jamaican Jam (ranked 1860 p4p, 190 weight class). Paddington comes to the cage accompanied by Broken - Next time around. Jam has chosen Quartiere Coffee - In Jamaica as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Paddington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamaican Jam!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paddington misses with a hook
and Jam counters with a straight right hand.
Paddington misses the jab.

Paddington throws a jab when Jam was well out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jam! But no joy.
Jam uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Jam swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Paddington throws an overhand right that lands on Jam's shoulder, as Jam tries to avoid the shot.
Jam moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jam takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
David Paddington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jam connects with a body shot.
Paddington bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A telegraphed right hand from Paddington misses the target.

Jamaican Jam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Paddington doesn't manage to clinch there - Jam circles away.
Paddington throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jam sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A little jabbing left from Jam on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Jam uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Paddington.

Jam slips a straight right by Paddington.
A left and a right from Paddington both land. Nice combination.
Jam moves away from the strike by Paddington.
Jam throws a hook but Paddington blocks it.
As Jam tries to get set, Paddington tries to push him back and clinch up but Jam manages to avoid the attempt.

Paddington shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jam is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Jam is looking to improve his position.
Paddington throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Paddington working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Paddington wants to pass the guard but Jam is defending well.

Paddington is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jam has managed to free his arm - good work.
Paddington not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Jam is trying to stand up here but Paddington is controlling him well.

Paddington is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jam doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Paddington.
Jam is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Paddington passes the guard and advances to mount!
Jam keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Paddington throws some wild stikes that Jam manages to avoid easily.

Paddington working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Jam turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Paddington off and cradles Jam's limp body as Paddington celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). David Paddington!
The defeated Jamaican Jam had this to say: 'This fucking blind referee is friends with the fucking biased judges who are both paid by my PED-using opponent's manager. Fuck them and fuck the haters! What are you looking at asshole? Come at me, I'll mash you like potatoes!! Mommy!! They are threatening me! 😭'.
