Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mentor Guruland (ranked 689 p4p, 109 weight class) and Skeng Man (ranked 799 p4p, 127 weight class). Mentor Guruland could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Skeng Man's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mentor Guruland! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Skeng Man! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man doesn't manage to clinch there - Guruland circles away.
A jab from Guruland misses. Man slips a straight right by Guruland. Man tries to counter with a clinch but Guruland shakes him off and moves away. Man tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Guruland throws out a powerful jab. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Man has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Guruland misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Man.
Man darts in looking for a takedown but Guruland gets double underhooks and turns Man into the cage. Guruland loads up on a big right hand but Man slips the punch. Mentor Guruland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Guruland jabbing away but nothing is landing. Man fails to land the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man fails with the takedown. Mentor Guruland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Skeng Man. Guruland throws a leg kick
and Man counters with a single leg into guard. Guruland didn't expect that.
Guruland is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Guruland presses Man against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Man jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Guruland walks away with a smile on his face. Man gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Man looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Guruland ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Man moves away. Man slips under a jab from Guruland. Guruland tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Guruland works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Guruland throws a hook but Man blocks it. Man shoots in but no luck this time. Man wants to clinch up but Guruland keeps it at a distance. The fighters circling - Guruland throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Guruland throws a hook to the side of Man's head but Man sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. And Man tries to counter it with a takedown but Guruland pushes his down on his head and steps out. A jab from Guruland misses. Guruland throws a good cross that connects.
Man slips under a jab from Guruland. Man with the counter takedown but Guruland avoids it easily. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Man checks a leg kick. Guruland misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Man steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Guruland. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A big right from Guruland misses. Guruland misses with an uppercut. Man saw that one coming. Man is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Guruland misses with an uppercut. Man saw that one coming. Guruland lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Man dives in and scores a takedown into Guruland's guard. Man throws a big elbow that misses.
Guruland is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Man is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've been hearing good reports from Guruland's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Man is working Guruland over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Guruland had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Man defends it easily. Man postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Guruland keeping full guard, as Man tries to pass. Guruland is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Guruland has momentary wrist control but Man slips an elbow through the middle. Guruland controls Man momentarily but Man frees himself. Man tries to free his leg and advance position but Guruland is retaining full guard. Man scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Guruland controlling the position. Man passes easily into side control. Nice work. Man working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Man throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Guruland works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Man looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Man in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Guruland tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Man!
