Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nando Vasquez (ranked 3558 p4p, 391 weight class) and Boyd Clark (ranked 3264 p4p, 366 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nando Vasquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boyd Clark!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vasquez lands a jab-cross combination.
Clark throws out a leg kick but Vasquez moves out of range and Clark only half commits.
We've been told by Vasquez's head coaches at Ryōzanpaku Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Vasquez avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Vasquez lands a slapping body shot.
Vasquez scores with a decent looking hook.
Clark throws a leg kick but Vasquez checks it.
Vasquez throws a head kick that misses.

Vasquez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Clark stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Clark throws out a counter right but Vasquez avoids it with no problem.
Vasquez bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Clark's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Clark is rocked!
Clark tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A counter left hand to the body from Vasquez misses its target.
Clark is still on wobbly legs! Can Vasquez finish him?

Clark seems to have recovered his senses.

Clark's coach down at Crapollas Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Clark's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Vasquez cracks Clark with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Vasquez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Vasquez throws a series of punches but Clark avoids them all with ease.
Vasquez blocks a head kick by Clark.
Vasquez misses with a wild combination.
Clark replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Vasquez blocks it well.

A looping hook to the body misses from Clark. Vasquez does a little dance to reset his feet.
An attempted straight right counter from Vasquez misses the target.
Vasquez smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Vasquez throws a body punch but Clark moves out of range.
Vasquez feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Clark sprawling to the canvas! Clark rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Vasquez finish him?!
Vasquez lands a slapping body shot.
Clark gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Vasquez gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nando Vasquez!
