Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wilhelm Strauss (ranked 473 p4p, 72 weight class) and Dan Kolov (ranked 276 p4p, 39 weight class). Strauss comes to the cage accompanied by Root Of All Evil. Kolov has chosen Metallica - Enter Sandman as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Kolov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Dan Kolov has been cut.

and Strauss counters with a nice body shot.

Wilhelm Strauss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Kolov.

Kolov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kolov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Kolov is looking for a sweep. Strauss is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Strauss knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kolov on the ground.
Kolov manages to get to full guard.
Kolov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Strauss gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Strauss wants to pass the guard but Kolov is keeping the position.
Kolov tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Strauss decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Strauss stuffs the takedown attempt from Kolov. Kolov gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kolov closes the distance and clinches up with Strauss, looking for a takedown. Kolov pushes Strauss against the cage but Strauss circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Kolov with that takedown attempt.
Strauss displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kolov.
Kolov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Strauss defends well and Kolov ends up having to push Strauss into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kolov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Strauss lands with a slapping head kick.
Good leg kick by Strauss there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kolov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
The fighters circle momentarily. Strauss darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That has opened up Dan Kolov's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Strauss throws an overhand right that drops Kolov like a sack of potatoes! Strauss dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

After winning the bout, Wilhelm Strauss thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
