Varner slips a jab from Yeboah.
Varner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yeboah's waist but Yeboah gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Varner off to one side.

We've been hearing reports that Yeboah has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Sambulo Yeboah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Varner.
Yeboah darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Varner's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Yeboah before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sambulo Yeboah!
A determined Sambulo Yeboah didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
