PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samwell Tarly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Duffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tarly comes into the arena with Shell Shocked blaring out of the sound system. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samwell Tarly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Duffy!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tarly tries to sprawl but Duffy drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Duffy is looking for a kimura but Tarly is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Duffy to get the leverage.
Duffy slows the pace down in half guard.
Duffy not landing any meaningful shots this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Duffy is taking a breather. Tarly says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Duffy's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Tarly throws an overhand right that lands on Duffy's shoulder, as Duffy tries to avoid the shot.
Tarly digs a good body shot into Duffy's ribs.
Duffy with a lazy takedown attempt
and Tarly counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Samwell Tarly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Duffy shoots in but Tarly avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Duffy misses with a takedown
and Tarly cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Samwell Tarly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Duffy.

Tarly sends Duffy crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Tarly is motioning to the referee to let Duffy up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Duffy is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tarly thuds a left hand into Duffy's body.
Duffy is still on wobbly legs! Can Tarly finish him?
Duffy looks winded!
Tarly throws a right and a left that both miss.
Duffy seems to have recovered his senses.
Tarly misses with a straight left.
Tarly stuns Duffy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Duffy loses concentration momentarily and Tarly pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Duffy crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Tarly finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
