Kind comes to the cage accompanied by Afternoon Delight. Sithole is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I Miss The Misery. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sithole throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kind throwing a counter right hand but Sithole manages to avoid it.

Kind has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Sithole shoots for a takedown but Kind saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sithole is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sithole seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Kind is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sithole is trying to control. Kind wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sithole looking to sit in guard and control but Kind gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kind tries to stand but Sithole is controlling from the bottom.

Kind's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kind moves nicely into side control.

Kind wants to stand but Sithole has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

Kind is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Sithole wants to sweep but no luck.
Kind has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sithole is proving hard to escape from.

That was a close round but I would say that Champ Kind will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moses Sithole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sithole connects with a leg kick. Kind looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
