Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Police Officer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redman comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Put Your Lights On kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Officer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Redman is fending him off so far but Officer persists. Nope, Redman circles away and we're back to standing.
We've been told by Officer's head coaches at LOD: Black Label that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Redman drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Officer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Redman is looking to score with low kicks.
Officer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Redman tries to avoid it but Officer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Redman to the ground. Redman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nice shot lands for Officer.
Redman shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Redman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Redman throws a head kick that misses.
Damien Redman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Officer lands with a nice body punch.

so Officer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Redman pushes Officer off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
We've been informed that Redman has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Redman is looking to clinch but Officer is avoiding it.

Officer appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Officer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Redman circles away.

Officer chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Redman can pounce on him.
Officer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Redman tries to clinch but Officer is having none of it.
Officer appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Redman walks into a jab.
Officer misses with a body punch
and Redman counters with a low kick, right behind Officer 's knee.
Officer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Officer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Redman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Officer paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Redman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A quick step to the side and Officer tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Officer blocks a head kick by Redman.
A head kick misses from Redman.
Redman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Officer.
Officer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Redman connects with a solid leg kick.
Officer takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Police Officer has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Officer misses with a wild body shot.
Redman counters with a body kick.
Redman cracks the inside of Officer's front leg.
Officer throws a shot to the body.
Redman lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Redman throws a quick inside leg kick.
Redman tried to score with a low kick but Officer checks it.
Redman misses with a kick to the body.

Officer drives through with a takedown into guard.
Officer looking to sit in guard and control but Redman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Officer working for a triangle but Redman defends it easily.
Redman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Officer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Redman stays in close to Officer's body and controls the position.
Redman wants to get up but he can't break Officer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Redman is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Officer has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Redman is looking to defend but Officer has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Redman! Officer pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Redman taps out and this one is all over!
