The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arona misses with a wild body shot.
Good standup being displayed there by McDonald as he connects with a hook.
Arona fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McDonald .
McDonald throws a sloppy head kick
and Arona counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
McDonald misses with a leg kick
and McDonald takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A punch lands to the side of McDonald 's head but he takes it in his stride.
McDonald shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Arona defends it nicely.
Arona scores with a jab to the body.

and Arona counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

McDonald moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

McDonald takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
McDonald is breathing heavily.
McDonald swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Arona counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Rory McDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arona throws out a powerful jab.
McDonald looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McDonald throws a combination that misses
and Arona counters with a right hand to the body.
Arona connects with a body shot.

A jab lands there for Arona.
Arona lands an uppercut out of nowhere! McDonald falls backwards - clearly groggy! Arona dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
