The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levchenko connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Levchenko looks to score with a jab to the body but Makarenko is just out of range.
Makarenko throws a nice head kick!
Makarenko throws a lazy uppercut
and Levchenko counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Levchenko loads up on a big right hand but Makarenko slips the punch.
Makarenko tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Levchenko manages to circle out of the way.
Levchenko moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Makarenko lands a really nice looking cross but Levchenko seems unphased.
We've been informed that Levchenko has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Makarenko seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
