Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Obi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remi Mooki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Remi Mooki is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, William Obi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Remi Mooki!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mooki feints and as Obi raises his hands in defense, Mooki changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Obi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mooki is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mooki trying to control the position from guard on top but Obi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mooki controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Obi seems keen to control Mooki's posture.
Mooki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Obi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Obi has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Mooki tries a head kick but it misses.
Obi throws a body punch but Mooki moves out of range.
Mooki has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mooki there as he acknowledges the shot.


It looks like Remi Mooki has been cut.
Obi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mooki.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mooki! But no joy.
Obi cracks Mooki with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Mooki manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Obi on his heels. He'll look to pass Obi's guard now, I'm sure.

Mooki gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Mooki tries for a takedown but Obi manages to get underhooks.

Mooki jumps guard and drags Obi to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Mooki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mooki looks for a takedown but Obi sprawls well.
Mooki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Obi.

Mooki closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Obi to the mat! Obi manages to get full guard.

Obi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Good standup being displayed there by Obi as he connects with a hook.
Mooki takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Obi connects with the punch.
Obi cracks Mooki with a right hand to the side of the head.

Obi gets tackled into the cage by Mooki. Mooki maintains the clinch.
Mooki tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Obi just stands there and leans against the cage.

Mooki has clasped his hands together around Obi's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Mooki is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Obi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Obi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mooki on the ground.
Obi is looking to regain half guard here but Mooki keeps moving and retains side control.

Obi is not content to let Mooki control the position.
Mooki tries to advance to mount but can't.
Mooki wants to control but Obi is keeping him busy.
Mooki has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Mooki has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Jab, jab by Obi - just one landing.


That has opened up Remi Mooki's cut even more.

Mooki struggles to land a body shot inside as Obi controls his hands.
Mooki is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Obi gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Obi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
A frustrated look appears on Obi's face as he tries to break the clinch.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Obi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mooki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Obi as he avoids it easily.
A little feinted left hand from Obi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mooki throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Mooki has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Obi's face.
Mooki is trying to take his opponent's back.
Mooki lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.


It looks like William Obi has been cut.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Poor strikes thrown by Mooki there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Obi is squirming around, avoiding Mooki's attempts to control the action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Remi Mooki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Mooki winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
