Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sativa Sensei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pluto Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sensei comes to the cage accompanied by Stevie Ray - Pride and Joy. Palhares has chosen TOQUINHO as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sensei works Palhares's body with a nice hook.
Palhares misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sensei.
Palhares takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sensei swings widly with a right hand
and Palhares counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Palhares in particular looking to stall.
Sensei won't allow Palhares to pass to mount.
Sensei wants to improve his position but Palhares is controlling well.
Sensei tries to kick Palhares off but Palhares keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Palhares frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Palhares goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sensei is on top in guard.
Sensei got a little sloppy there for a moment and Palhares has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sensei has managed to get both his arms back between Palhares's legs - danger averted.

Sensei blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Palhares tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sensei's elbow.
Sensei misses with a hook from the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Sensei.
Sensei working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sensei misses with a hook to the ribs.
Palhares digs a right hand into Sensei's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sensei's gas tank.

Sensei tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A short body shot lands from Sensei as the two fighters clinch.
Palhares is looking for a takedown.
Palhares throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Senseis head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sensei tries to work over Palhares's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Sensei lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Palhares backwards.
Sensei blocks a body shot from Palhares.
Palhares is leaning against Sensei and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
A left hand lands to the body for Sensei.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Pluto Palhares will probably get the nod.
That's time! Sensei's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Palhares cracks Sensei with an open hand slap.
Palhares avoids the head kick by Sensei.

Sensei thows a body shot but no joy.
Palhares pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sensei misses with a hook.

Palhares controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Sensei is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Palhares throwing strikes from guard but Sensei blocks nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sensei keeping moving, preventing Palhares from controlling successfully.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sensei digs a good hook to Palhares's body.

Palhares takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Palhares is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sensei sees it coming and defends easily.
Sensei is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Palhares's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Palhares's back!
Pluto Palhares has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sensei is hanging on to Palhares's back as he tries to escape.
What can Palhares do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Palhares is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Sensei tries to get the hooks in deep but Palhares pushed the leg off.
Sensei controls the position.
Sensei is not going to allow Palhares to sit and survive in this position.
I really don't envy Palhares right now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Palhares shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sensei's guard.

Pluto Palhares showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sensei throws a right hand that Palhares ducks under and follows up with a left that Palhares also avoids with ease.
Palhares tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sensei was well out of range. Poor timing from Palhares.
Palhares shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sensei but Sensei pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sensei wants to hit a switch here but Palhares passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Sensei there!

Palhares can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sensei is looking to escape.
Sensei is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Palhares lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Palhares is landing with some decent strikes but Sensei is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

BOOM! Palhares connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Palhares drops a big elbow. That's hurt Sensei! More shots from Palhares and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
