The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanks uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Maeda.
Maeda takes a jab right on the kisser.
Maeda throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Maeda moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Akira Maeda has been cut.
Hanks thumps Maeda with a low kick.
Hanks throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maeda sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Maeda throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hanks.
Hanks is looking to chop away at Maeda's legs.
Maeda scores with a jab to the jaw.

It looks like Fred Hanks has been cut.

Hanks pushes Maeda up against the cage in a clinch.

Hanks escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fred Hanks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hanks feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Maedas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Hanks grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Maeda takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Hanks cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
