The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pringle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hammertown avoids it really well and circles away.
Hammertown closes the distance and clinches up with Pringle, looking for a takedown. Hammertown pushes Pringle against the cage but Pringle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Horrible takedown by Pringle or perhaps it was just good defense by Hammertown which made him look bad.
Hammertown lands a two punch combo.
Pringle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eddie Pringle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hammertown throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Hammertown leaves Pringle with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pringle with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hammertown to score with a decent uppercut.
Hammertown lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Hammertown grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Pringle takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Hammertown cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
