The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez looks to land a combination but Viceroy avoids it well.
Rodriguez tries to clinch up but Viceroy circles away and keeps his distance.
Viceroy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rodriguez moves away.

Viceroy takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Viceroy lunges at Rodriguez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rodriguez's hand.

Viceroy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
