The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boyd drops Sanchez with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sanchez looks back up at him and smiles so Boyd waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Sanchez is rocked!
Boyd takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Sanchez is still on wobbly legs! Can Boyd finish him?
Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sanchez seems to have recovered his senses.
Boyd cracks the inside of Sanchez's front leg.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Boyd throws a series of punches but Sanchez avoids them all with ease.

Boyd cracks Sanchez with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Sanchez looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Boyd finish him?
Boyd misses with a double jab.
Sanchez swings for the body but Boyd moves out of range.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Boyd sprawls well. Boyd wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet.
Sanchez shoots in but no luck this time.
Rice Boyd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santiago Sanchez.

Boyd lands a big uppercut and Sanchez crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Sanchez looks OK. Boyd waves Sanchez back to his feet!

It looks like Santiago Sanchez has been cut.
Boyd lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Sanchez falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
