Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sullivan Lopes (ranked 4771 p4p, 2238 weight class) and Mike McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sullivan Lopes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Mike McGuire!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopes moves away from the strike by McGuire.
A lazy left from Lopes finds it's target.
Lopes throws a right and a left that both miss.
McGuire gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
McGuire working some nice short punches in the clinch.
McGuire tries to work over Lopes's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, McGuire creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Lopes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

McGuire tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Lopes swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Lopes fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGuire is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lopes is defending well for now.
McGuire throws a head punch that misses.
Lopes lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

McGuire connects with a knee to the head.
Oh Lopes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McGuire lands a nice uppercut.
McGuire jerks Lopes's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Lopes drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! McGuire goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from McGuire because Lopes was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
