Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mason Love (ranked 28 p4p, 132 weight class) and Kado Akiyama (ranked 4 p4p, 17 weight class). Love comes into the arena with HonestKey- Music blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 32 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mason Love! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Kado Akiyama! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akiyama misses with a looping right. Love waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Akiyama. A countering left hand to the body from Akiyama misses. Love lands a jab to the nose. Akiyama throws a wild body kick that Love sees coming a mile off. Akiyama swings widly with a right hand
and Love counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Akiyama has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Love misses with a wild combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed right hand from Akiyama misses the target. Akiyama staying out of range there.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Akiyama avoids a punch combination nicely.
Akiyama gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
 It looks like Kado Akiyama has been cut. Akiyama cracks Love with an open hand slap.
 It looks like Mason Love has been cut. Love misses with a looping right.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Akiyama moves out of range of the strikes. Akiyama replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Love blocks it well. Akiyama misses with a lunging right hand
and Love counters with a stiff right hand. Akiyama ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Love moves away. Mason Love seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Akiyama throws a lazy right hand but Love sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Love is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Love drops his hands momentarily and Akiyama takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Jab by Love. A thudding body kick lands there by Akiyama!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Love connects with a right hand. Akiyama shakes it off.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Love connects with a superb combination that knocks Akiyama out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Love before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Akiyama!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mason Love! Mason Love retains his featherweight title! Our winner, Mason Love, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
