Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Beneke (ranked 1422 p4p, 1272 weight class) and Jeffrey Tucker (ranked 186 p4p, 165 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 21 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Beneke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeffrey Tucker!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beneke tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Tucker is able to avoid easily.

and Tucker counters with a crisp one two that drops Beneke! Tucker thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Beneke to his feet! Beneke is in big trouble!

We've been informed that Tucker has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Jeffrey Tucker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Tucker unleashes a big counter combination but Beneke bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Tucker's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Beneke connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tucker scrambles back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Beneke bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tucker's head backwards.
Beneke stalks Tucker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tucker's face. Tucker staggers backwards, shaken.

Beneke fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tucker sprawls well initially but Beneke persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Tucker is pressing down on Beneke's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Tucker wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

and Tucker counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Beneke to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Tucker!
